HG 1/144 Arche Gundam Review - Part 1

Price: 1600 Yen

I bought this guy last week and immediately put it together by night until past midnight. This one really has a lot of panel lines that needs to be done! After I built this, I realized I haven't even begun on the 0 Gundam. >_>;

At any rate...

Quick MS Bio;
Built from the remains/data of the Throne Zwei and piloted by crazy battle maniac Ali Al-Saachez. This is one very formidable melee oriented mobile suit. It was able to put up a good fight against 00 and Seravee at the same time!

Pilot: Ali Al-Saachez
Height: 20.9m
Weight: 72.9t
Armaments: GN Buster Sword, GN Beam Saber(2), GN Shield, GN Fangs(4?)

Part 1 of this review will cover the box, runners and building process only. The rest of the review will be covered in part 2 later on. =)

Part 1: Box

Part 2: Box Open!
Quite a lot of stuff for a HG.

Manual. If only I have the equipment to paint a model kit...

Part 3: Runners
Quite a lot of runners for a HG and the parts are pretty huge.

Rare to see on a HG, there was a duplicated runner for this one.

Too bad a good amount of stickers are needed left and right. I'll be using them for now as painting any colored surface white s a huge PITA.

Part 4: Building Process
Part 4.1: The Usual First Step
Scribbled with purple colored permanent marker on the inner side of the orbs.

Part 4.2: Torso
The details and articulation feels better than its predecessors, the Thrones.

Part 4.3: Head
They even molded the really, really small chin in the proper color for this one.

Unfortunately, there are no stickers for the eyes.

Part 4.4: Arms
The arms are nicely detailed and better articulated than its predecessors as well. They are also quite long.

Part 4.5: Legs
The feet are almost the same as the Thrones before it except it has the added benefit of being more usable in battle...

The legs are really wide from the side and are really long just like the arms. And no, those aren't GN Drives in its legs, just really huge GN Condensers.

Part 4.6: Waist
Unlike the usual HG waist, there is a bit of articulation on the rear armor plate though not shown in the photos above. ^^;

Part 4.7: Side Skirts
Should I paint the GN Fangs?

Part 4.8: Core Fighter
This isn't the whole Core Fighter, there are also a few extra pieces that are needed. It sticks onto the back of the Arche.

Part 4.9: GN Buster Sword
It is very long and even longer than Throne Zwei's GN Buster Sword! It can also go into rifle mode similar to the GN Swords. Yes, I painted the rectangular parts gold. I didn't have any brown on me, so gold was the closest I can manage.

Part 4.10: GN Shield
Small shield for such a huge Gundam.

That's all for this post. Part 2 will come soon once I finished photo shooting Arche in a few for action
shots and scenes. ^^
