Robot Damashii Gundam Exia Review - Part 2

Quickly continuing the previous part of the review, here's the rest of it.

Robot Damashii Gundam Exia Review - Part 1

Price: 2800 Yen
Now, time for more Exia! If you are a FB regular, you might already guessed that this review is next up but anyways, here's the review.

I bought this for RM90 at Hobby Kingdom (Star City, KK, Sabah) and it was the very last box. Never thought I could get one but luckily I was. A big thanks to Evaritus Lau, once again, for this opportunity. :X
This is my 13th Gundam Exia and, well, that's quite a lot and I'm still missing the HG 1/144 GN-Arms Type E, NG 1/100 Gundam Avalanche Exia, MG 1/100 Gundam Exia (Normal), MG 1/100 Gundam Exia Trans-AM (only if I can get that 80% discount...)... yeah. Not really going to gun to get them all but just those I come across. Not crazy enough to go all out. XP

Gundam Exia, one of the most shown Gundam on this blog needs no introduction anymore. It is piloted by Setsuna F. Seiei and it comes with seven swords. One of the most extreme sword motive Gundam to date, if I'm not mistaken.

This first part covers the box, box open, articulation and gimmicks. Action poses and the conclusion will be covered in the next part. Most of the photos were taken in a room at the Promenade Hotel Apartment before my camera was sent off. So, you can see the annoying black spot at the following photos. ^^; That also explains the lack of comparison shots minus the mint bottle which I bought while I was there.

EDIT: Forgot to insert neck shot in this part.

On the Afternoon of Christmas I Went to a Maid Cafe

Kirameki Maid Cafe (Star City, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah)
My Second Time, And it Felt Better
So I went to the maid cafe in Sabah on the very day of Christmas. I could have gone the day before when I first visited Star City but the day was still young so the cafe wasn't exactly opened yet. Nonetheless, I went in with my sister who decided to follow me that day and had my rather different and special Christmas lunch.
Note: All photos were taking with my Samsung Champ(ion) phone since my camera was being used elsewhere.

Taken on 24th December way before 12 noon. I left and went back to the hotel after I got my 2 Robot Damashiis and 1 SIC Kiwami. ^^;

Kota Kinabalu Haul

There were a few shops that took my notice while I was at Kota Kinabalu (KK) last week and bought a number of stuff, even some that are slightly overpriced but not easily found over here.

EDIT: Forgot to state here but have said it before on FB... Thanks to Evaritus Lau (AKA sbhboi) for telling me about Hobby Kingdom, Hobby Densetsu (sadly closed during Christmas) and Revo Toys (became member only since there was not much there yet) at Star City. ^^ Too bad we weren't able to meet up. I was able to go to the Kirameki Maid Cafe at Star City as well. Hm, should put up the photos for that.

Bought these from KK Toys at a "pretty" price. I won't recommend anyone to buy there normally but they do have some rather nice items in stock. The DS screen protector, for some odd reason, is always overpriced wherever I go. This one was a little cheaper than at home here but then again, it could be much cheaper... I miss Singapore (there was a slightly off game shop selling it cheaper but I found it only later). ^^;

Camera is Currently Away for Servicing

Due to the black spots I've stated before, I've sent my camera away on servicing. So, expect less posts from me or not. Considering how well my phone camera performed for the 00 Qan[T] quick review, I still can. Then again, I can just use my previous camera. ^^;

Next review up is on my all time favorite Gundam, again. Never thought I could get this version but very happy that I did which made my trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah worthwhile.

I also upgraded the house internet infrastructure a bit since I managed to get two of these for RM30 each (although they were sold for RM25 during the PC Fair earlier but I couldn't get them at that time). Now I can position my ADSL/Router better and have a more well spread out wireless range for the computers in the house. :D

That's all for now.

Robot Damashii 00 Qan[T] Review

Although not as complete as I would like it to be, I feel it is quite done, done so I shall end it here.

Main part of the review. This was taken with a Samsung Champ(ion) phone camera @ 1.3MP. Might be shocking to some that the quality is quite up there for even a budget phone. Then again, that's most likely due to the great amount of sunlight the I was getting during the photoshoot.

Taken with my current camera, however, I realized I really need to send it to Canon for servicing now as the black spots are really obvious. I'm quite sorry about that though but I hope you'll enjoy the final part of the review.

For those curious at how bad my camera is in now... well...
The blue screen test. Open a completely blue picture on your computer monitor and take a picture with maximum zoom. To my not to happy further realization, it was worse that I initially thought. My camera shall be MIA for a while and I hope I can send it for servicing under warranty successfully.
FYI, the black spot has been around for a while already but most of the time it is either noticeable or seemingly disappear after a while. This time, that isn't the case. Ah well, wish me luck guys, I'll try to do it tomorrow, or rather, later today.

Xbox Lite

This is what happens when you're bored and misses an unportable gaming system.

PS: Christmas is tomorrow! If I can't wish it properly tomorrow then I'll say it now.

Merry Christmas!

EDIT:
Also got this just now from Hobby Kingdom at Star City KK, Sabah for a reasonable price. You can already see the Robot Damashii 00 Qan[T] quick review HERE.

Off on Vacation to Sabah

My aunt and mother decided to go to Sabah this week (21st-26th) so I won't be around during that time. If anyone wants to meet me (though no guarantees since this is a family vacation), I'll be around the KK area staying at the Promenade Service Apartment.

After being done with the Kamen Rider W review, I've been busy rearranging my room and playing my games on my Xbox 360 which had little attention during the time I was busy with schoolwork. So, what am I playing?

Xbox 360
Main
Fable III has an interesting story but as an RPG it isn't really up to snuff. It is still fun, especially if you do multiplayer Co-Op (which I can only do with myself and whoever is in my house since I technically can't go online). In this game, you can be either good or evil so have fun with that (and yes, it is easier to be evil).

Unlike the previous NFS installments, Hot Pursuit is done by Critereon games (still under EA) who has been known for its Burnout series. This game isn't as easy as previous NFS (at least if you want to get gold) but its visuals and overall appeal makes it fun to re/play... to a certain point of course. XP Also, don't confuse this one with the older installments with the same name.

Side
Eh, I'm just playing this one since it seems fun. Never actually finished Fallout 3 (besides being evil and bombing a city and stuff) but I felt to get New Vegas nonetheless. I probably just play it on the PC later on though especially with the ability to mod and all.

Nintendo DS
Main
The game that many has waited for YEARS. It was "announced" years ago when the DS was just released but the game was not. Luckily, for us, it has finally came this year. I can't say its great but having your character only able to reply back in four kinds of expressions (he doesn't talk at all, wow) and not being able to backtrack may make some people feel off. Nonetheless, with the touchscreen, I believe using Psyenergy is more fun this time around or at least more functional.

Ongoing

I'm playing Heart Gold (R4 Flashcart) while my sister plays Soul Silver (original cart). I'm finished with the main story but have yet to do the side stuff (sans beating Red who is much stronger than before).

PSP
Main
Female MC in Persona 3 Portable? Heck yeah. Playing through the story while trying to do the one play-through social link. Save and load hell and time constraints. Still, its fun and I'm interested in the story.

The only Kingdom Hearts game I've yet to finish, minus the first game's Final Mix. I've played Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories (GBA), Kingdom Hearts 2 (and Final Mix+), 358/2 Days and Re:coded. Currently playing through Ventus's story in Birth By Sleep.

There are still other games I'm playing but only just tried them a bit. I'm mainly going to play those above during my 2 month break. Hu, lots of games to play, isn't there? I also got other things to do besides gaming but I think I'll give gaming a priority this time since my semester breaks next year is much less thanks to Swinburne's new 3 semester system. Ah, at any rate, better enjoy the free time I have now.

Robot Damashii Strike Freedom Gundam: "MMMPPPHHH!!!" (still in box)

Until the next post~

MG Figure-Rise 1/8 Kamen Rider W/Double CycloneJoker - Part 2

This is a continuation of part 1 HERE.
Okay, time for the 2nd part of this review! :D

Note: This review covers posing the model kit. I think I did more unusual poses than the ones that I should be doing following the advertised poses. Haha. ^^;

Some Sketches

All the following sketches were done a short while back within the lapse of 2 months like that. Found em' while sorting out my sketches and decided to scan them. ^^

Enjoy~

My quick version of Rockman/Mega Man X. A sort of cross between X, Zero and Star Force design motives.
Same as X, this is more of a Rockman X version of Zero which looks manlier. XD Kept the "boob lights" though.
Alternate Spark, if you guys remember, is a ground-up mecha story I've devised. So, here is the "origin" version before the one you mainly will see in the story. It's completely white and piloted by the guy below in the past before the great reset.
Based directly on Cybord 009/Joe Shimura on design, here is Ray. He pilots the Alternate that can change the future of the world... or not.

Okay, that's all for now. Need to go do Z's contest before time's up. Hmhm.

EDIT:
Here's the Heat Release Mode for the G.I.N. Type 2 Custom which the main character of Alternate Spark uses before switching to Alternate Spark. Think of Crossbone Gundam for this one, yep.

Moving Up to 50,000!

*insert temporary 50,000 hits photo here*
Finally, this blog has hit the 50,000 hits barrier! Should there be some sort of special soon? Well, if time permits, I may be able to do that... oh lookie... GAMES! ^^;

This blog has been running for almost 4 years but only got some real content by early 2009, last year, when I delve myself into the hobby of Gunpla. I still haven't forgotten my other hobbies such as drawing, gaming and computer hardware which you all have witness somewhat besides Gunpla/plastic model kits on this very blog. Thank you all to those who read, lurk and commented!

Okay, onward to the next post!

MG Figure-Rise 1/8 Kamen Rider W/Double CycloneJoker - Part 1

Price: 3800 Yen

I'm quite late this time and even NK has reviewed it himself already. XP

~Rant~
I got this kit last month and have finished it for weeks already. Due to lots of things happening consecutively, I wasn't able to dedicate enough time to make a post on it. Thankfully, my finals are over today and I'm free to do other things besides school although I do have many other things I need to do as well.
A few changes are also in, especially with the browser I'm using. I'm using Google Chrome now (wished it was easier to shift between my 2 main Gmail accounts for Google though). I still use Mozilla Firefox, but I've decided to use the other less resource eating browsers for this old computer I'm still using. Other than that, my mother have decided to upgrade the internet line and we are now enjoying 1Mbps worth of speed. :) Even though it is still Streamyx, there seems to be a good margin of improvement in the downloading department especially. Darn, need more space now.
~End Rant~

~About the Rider~
Kamen Rider W/Double is a rider that needs two people to henshin. Phillip takes the right half while Hidari Shotaro takes the left. Their base form is CycloneJoker which I'm going to review now. They have various other forms such as LunaTrigger, HeatMetal, FangJoker and CycloneJokerXtreme. You can get LunaTrigger and HeatMetal in model kit form now while FangJoker will come next year in February. The left and right halves are not fixed, W can use various combos that can meet with almost every situation faced, making his capability to fight varying enemies quite versatile (eg; HeatJoker, LunaMetal, CycloneTrigger). FangJoker and CycloneJokerXtreme seems pretty much fixed or just not exercised further than that. The theme of the story is a hard boiled detective and the main character is Hidari Shotaro. He is only a half-boiled detective however... More at Wikipedia.

EDIT: Forgot to note some important stuff - feet.

Note: This part of the review only covers the building process. I'm going to go through the model kit part by part.

Freedom GET!

Now initializing promised posts, contest research, eventual non-stop gaming, unwatched Anime, possible long storyboard sketches and merry events.

TBC...

Minor Note

I might/will post some short quick posts from time to time on my secondary blog if anything comes to mind. I like to call this an "offloading" process since I tend to think too much whenever I study and whenever there is an exam nearby. Nonetheless, I'll still be in a hiatus for now although I can't really call it a real hiatus. ^^;

*back to study*

One Does Not Admit the Mistakes of One's Youth

Okay guys, since I'm feeling like it today, I'm going to share something I did around 5-6 years ago which still exist within the histories of the internet. It may be funny, crazy or totally WTF. Nonetheless, enjoy my past creations. XD

Note: You may need to click open the image to read some of them.

Singapore Trip - Day 4 - All's Well That Ends Well

Time flies real fast and the trip to Singapore ended, but it was worthwhile. Going to Singapore really made me realized how different another country is and how much my own country still have ways to go. At any rate, let’s get going with the last posting even though the photos are mostly from my phone. There are also details on my loots at the end of this post. No large “thumbnails” this time though. XP

Okay, that’s all for my series of post on my trip to Singapore for the first time as well as the Anime Festival Asia 2010 (AFAX)! I typed this series of posts really long-ish but glad that I can finally wrap it up. Hope you guys enjoyed reading it as I did writing it, reminiscing my trip. For now, I will go into a short hiatus until the middle of December due to finals upcoming. I’ve been preparing even when I posted these up so no worries.

Until the next post, which should be a review, 2 weeks from now!

Momotoys X'mas Promotion (All Items 20% Off!)

Same as the previous post actually but now with a poster! So, those in Kuching, time to spend (if you can)! XP
