Just in case I may not have the time to post anything (good) for Christmas, I like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! If you're not celebrating Christmas, do enjoy the special weekend with your family and friends~

We had a 3DS gathering today at the top floor of OneJaya in front of Momotoys. We mostly played Pokemon and expanded our Pokedex 3D though. We did play two rounds of Download Play Mario Kart 7 as well (with mine coming in next week).

If you're living in Kuching and own a 3DS, do join us someday! If you're thinking of getting a 3DS, you may try out ours' (but be careful with them).

Semester Break is ON!

After that long situation-endorsed hiatus, I finally have the time to myself again! At least, I hope so. Before delving back to Gunpla, especially with my stack of backlogs currently, I'm playing some of the recently released games.

This is the main game of focus right now. TBH, I never completed the games before this but the game here highlights what you need to know pretty well enough to let you understand what has been happening. That and I'm totally hooked to the game, side stuff and all. Pretty fun to play I have to say, especially in contrast with the first game of the series.

I recently got my 3DS but there aren't much games on it yet. Well, the first party games such as Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 has recently came out but, honestly, I'm not excited about them, not at this moment at least. At any rate, I really like playing this game even if I played the first one (although only one play-through). Mostly play it when outside though, as what I do for most of my handheld games. A good strategy-based game and it comes with the option to tone down the difficulty to "easy" this time. Good for those who wants a relaxing plot-filled game.

Random Note: I don't really turn on the 3D while playing on the 3DS.

Played this on the Xbox 360 at first but unfortunately for us console gamers, it loads very slowly, to the point that you can go to toilet in between loading screens if you didn't install the game onto the hard drive. You can observe that fact from my previous posting. The story this time is pretty okay-ish and the game-play is easier, I believe, plus more diverse than Oblivion. Nonetheless, for best effect, play on a decent computer than a console. If you bought it for the console, especially for the PS3... you'll feel a lot of pain after all those hours of fun-filled "Fus Ro Dah".

Still remembered my purchase earlier on? Well, I'll be continuing it. It is Disgaea after all! As usual, it has a funny cast of characters that interacts interestingly with each other. The system has changed a bit so there is a bit of adjusting required for me. Hm, I wonder how I'll far this time?

Haven't really gotten this game, asides from "getting" it on the Xbox 360 via the cheapskate means. I really want to utilize Phoenix Wright in this game, along with Zero. Oh yes~~~

There are still some other games I might be playing, especially those I have yet to complete such as Nier, P3P and the last part of KHR:BBS though that depends on my mood and time after this. >.>

I won't necessarily be gaming 24/7 as I also want to get my hands into some Gunpla after all that while, especially with the new Gundam AGE that gives some really flexible mobile suits unlike before. Plus I must have fun with the "East is burning red!" duo later on. =P

And yes, I'm still doing an omake with SD Sinanju, now with a larger cast than before... Hm... what kind of mischief will unfold this time? I'm still crafting that out and hold to do something interesting after all this while not doing anything funny. ^^;

I also have some obligations to do for the Anime club during the holidays. At some point I regretted adding more responsibilities to my work load but a promise is a promise plus I'm the one who initiated it after all. I have some time to do em' (though it came with some delay notifications from the intended completion time frame) so I'll do it slowly, especially when my creative mood comes into play - for a better outcome. Those who have passed me their desired artwork to be used, I'll do my best! =)
I'll pass you guys your custom member cards once the next semester starts, following the Foundation timetable, except for those in Degree.

Finally, My Semester Break Starts!

Phew! Since I didn't or barely got any time off during the end year of 2009 due to the mandatory Summer Semester, I am finally happy and relieved to be able to get my break. =)

I won't be doing much this break but I like to do quite a number of stuff such as build the remainder of my un-built Gunpla (as well as reviewing them), go driving (I lack much experience ^^;) using my father's old car (Proton Saga!) and taking a nice relaxing break before my first year in degree starts (as long as everything goes well) in March.

I wonder if any else is having a break now?

Besides that, I did something totally random to my TT HG Exia just now. Not so random but the thought to do so kept haunting me while studying the day before. Well, anyways, here it is!

Some beam saber action using TT HG Virtue's beam saber and then...

"Pink is lame! RED is better!"
*beam saber turns red*
"Yes! Red beam saber! Me like!"
Oh noes, what had become of Exia?

Err, yeah. It's just a quick paint job for the condenser parts using the metallic red Gundam marker and (after shaking a lot) for the "toothpick" that came with the Exia (plus some part of the GN Drive though not shown). ^^;

I didn't want to peel off the already stuck on stickers so I couldn't paint some of the other parts even though it would make the Exia look oh so much more awesome (in red)... *_*

Streamyx is Fail During Hari Raya

*SIGH*
Well, that was a great holiday, with my Streamyx not working since 3pm on a FINE Saturday afternoon until today. Wait, of course not, it was rather infuriating. Such a bad thing to happen suddenly when I had so many plans this holiday which needed the Internet went down the drain. Ah, whatever, can't complain much about it, this is the best service I can get thus far in M'sia... though terribly disappointing...

At any rate, I luckily had a few animes to watch on my hard drive to pass the days(Toaru Majutsu no Index was awesome though I felt the ending was lacking). I also managed to build the BB 0 Gundam (Type A.C.D.) since I felt like building a BB instead. It wasn't all that awesome in the end but the paint job was more passable than my BB Gundam Exia. Will do an individual post for them later on, but for now, some preview pictures. Be warned though, all of them were taken using a camera phone as my camera was being used by the family.

Didn't buy the BB Gundam Exia R2 in the end because the difference in the build was too small compared to the original. I felt like Bandai was darn lazy with the R2. The BB 0 Gundam however was great as it even came with the GN Feathers wing effect parts and stand. It was also easier to paint. XP

FYI, those are the NG 1/100 00 Gundam's beam saber parts being used. =P

I'm quite satisfied with how this one came out. My gray was running low so I had to use my abundance of silver paint instead which is not a Gundam Marker. The shield is not done yet however.

I also played with my MG Strike Gundam a little bit to pass the time.

Come forth! Strike Repair! =P

Actaully, the Strike came to a bit of misfortune and the one side of the rear skirt armor broke off. -_-; I guess I either overplayed it or some kind of added pressure was put on the rear section due to the way the stand works. Either way, it broke off. I can't really open the rear section since I had to superglue it so that the Strike doesn't fall of the stand again due to the part coming off. =/

Ah, that is all for my Hari Raya break which lacked the Internet. I'm thinking of doing a little review for the BB Gundam Exia and BB 0 Gundam for the coming posts. For the XN Raiser, I need to get some more gray and maybe, if possible, some kind of top coat to make it come out nice.

Part 1: First Stop, Times Berjaya Square
On the night before, 2 friends of mine decided to not stay at MMU and go shopping as we did not have concert tickets to watch Minorin's concert. Me, being an opportunist, took this opportunity and joined them shopping.

By 1pm, we left the grounds of MMU, took the T429 bus(GREAT TIMING), then took the KLIA Express to KL Sentral and finally took a taxi to Times Berjaya Square(BTS).

At first, when I entered, I thought the place was rather small as it seemingly looked like it was only 3 floors high. Afraid I WAS TERRIBLY WRONG, the place was HUGE and it has like 6 floors. To make matters "painful" I circled the entire place like twice by days end but I didn't go to every nook and cranny though.

The place was mostly disappointing to me as I mostly saw clothing shops, remore controlled toys shops and misc shops. That is until a friend's friend who live nearby came along to guide us. Interesting guy, his English pronounciation seems to be much better than what I've been experiencing. After we met up, we split into 2 groups and went around. I went with a guy who wanted to buy some clothes. At first we went around for a bit just to be disppointed in the lack of proper choice of clothes until we went to Metrojaya. Luckily, there was something there he liked.

At the same time, I went to the toys section and picked up some stuff which was going for a really "good" price at that time.

The action base was the last one and was still selling at the old price and the 00 Gundam was 20% off, so I was like; "Why not?". Haven't built both of them yet BTW.

Later, thanks to the KL aquaintance, I managed to find the elusive Graffiti Toys shop! OMG, this shop was small and situated on the 5th floor of BTS(which I missed earlier). Even if it was small, it has stacks of Gundam boxes touching the ceiling! Woah, never seen such display before.

Which I was at that shop, I almost bought a PG Strike Gundam. It was like RM519 which was like a really good price nowadays but my budget did not allow me to do so. In the end, I just bought...

Err... yeah. Two unwanted Gundams and the lackluster HG Hi-Nu.

The HG Hi-Nu was normal priced while the other two was at let go prices(as they are less wanted items due to MG Exia's coming). I thought long before decided to buy them as there were a lot of choices such as the MG Destiny FBM which costs RM259. Quite a reasonable price but I didn't buy it in the end. Ah well, I'm pretty pleased with my choice anyways as I wanted the Astraea for a while but the Trans-AM Exia will just be a buy it for collection's sake(not going to build it for now). Since I'm not getting the MG Hi-Nu(didn't really feel enough to spend 7000 Yen for a single MG yet), I just bought the HG Hi-Nu which I think is enough as I just like its design.

By around 4.30pm, we moved on to another shopping complex, Midvalley Mega Mall.

Part 2: Midvalley Mega Mall, Once Again
We part ways with the KL aquaintance and took a really unpleasant ride on the KTM to get to the place we wanted to go to. Really extremely crowded and we had to wait for a long arse while before we could get on the KTM. Extremely crowded and stuffed, we had to sandwich ourselves just to get in and out of the train. It was even worse with the extra stuff I had on me(backpack and shopping purchases).

After the pain that is KTM, we decided to never use it ever again if possible in the near future.

At least we managed to get to Midvalley by evening though sweaty and feet feeling extremely sore. We went to eat at Carls Jr. once again as hunger stroke really bad by that time as we all did not have lunch. This time around, I ordered a small meal set as I know I will be really stuffed by the time I'm done eating especially when I ordered the special offered Teriyaki burger...

Not too long after we finished our really filling dinner, we went around the mall mostly window shopping as we didn't have anything in mind to buy.

By 10pm we got back to our hotel rooms and gathered some feedback from the "concert go-ers" who simply commented that the concert was something mere words cannot explain. Sounds like it was great though maybe I didn't care enough for it in the end... then again, I never once in my life went to such concerts except that one time when I had to accompany someone to the Christian concert.

Part 3: Saying "Sayonara" to Kuala Lumpur
The 4th day was really a bummer. It was really a short stay at such a big place which begs you to stay longer to explore completely. But alas, we were not able to as most of us weren't earning our own cold hard cash yet.

We ate some lackluster breakfast at the hotel and left the place by around 8am by train. After we reached KL Sentral, we took the bus for a 1 hour ride to LCCT which by then was around 10am by the time we reached our destination. We had barely any time to wander around and we soon had to catch our flight which was scheduled at 11.45am...

By 1.15am, we were back at Kuching once again and resumed the remainder of our holiday.

And, that's all. If you read that, at least you might know me a bit better and that you just filled your mind with a quick half-assed typed "report". Well, there wasn't much to say on the remaining part of the trip anyways. =P

Day 3 - Daicon(大コン) 2009 Day 2 - Final

Delayed post here due to Streamyx. Luckily, it looks like my connection finally stabilized and stayed on for a longer period of time... hopefully I'm not talking too soon...

This post won't be long as I did not spend the entire day at Daicon on this day due to the lack of a concert ticket and that I wanted to visit a certain mall I always never get to go to whenever I get to go to Kuala Lumpur...

Rant

I'll try to conclude the first day in this part. Posting many, many pictures takes time and Streamyx is holding me back at the same time. Even as I type this, I just got disconnected once again. Sigh. I was disconnected for a whole entire 24 hours yesterday before I try to connect to the Internet once again earlier this morning. I feel as if I have lost hope in Streamyx and always feeling unsatisfied with what I'm getting for broadband...

Term Exam is... OVER!

Yay! To make things even better is the fact that it is the school holidays now! =)

It was a tiresome one and a half week of test and the old last minute study habit made things go ow. Cramping facts and techniques within a night's work is not easy, especially in high school, not to mention the least favorable subjects(and no I heart Maths).

Anyways, Now it's the school holidays, time for me to enjoy some gaming fun! ^^ Namely, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ and some others. So wish NDS emulators work with most of the games I wanna play, sigh. Well, in a few more years I guess. =(

I know that not many people read this blog, maybe none at all at the moment, but... umm... I got nothing to say. =P

At any rate, I wish a happy school holiday(yes some other countries are experiencing summer!) and a happy Gawai!
