Day 1 - Kuala Lumpur

Last week on Friday(10th July 2009), 5 of my friends and I went to Kuala Lumpur together. This trip was planned by Rain to go see the Minorin live convert a few months back. I took my chances and tagged along for the trip. =P

Day 3-4 - No Concert Tickets = Go Shopping

Read on for a short post on the 1st Day. The good stuff will come in the 2nd and 3rd day post, but for now, introductory post. XP

Note: A mixture of phone camera pictures(2.0MP no focus) and camera(7.0MP) pictures are used for this post. =)

Going to KL wasn't cheap. The return flight costs above RM200 and the hotel room costs RM100 per room per night, though the hotel was not so bad as we shared the payment together. =)

Our flight was at 1.55pm and we reached LCCT(Low Cost Courier Terminal) by 3.40pm. Our luggage didn't take long to reach us, except for Rain's, which came last. However, we wasted a whole hour there just to get itenary so that some of us can get our already paid Sky Bus tickets. D=

When we reached the LCCT, it already started to drizzle... then rain heavily. Luckily, we were under the roof by the time the rain became heavier. =/

OMG, this box and another similar box circled the conveyor belts until it stopped and no one was around to claim them anymore. XD

What? The rain stopped already?

What kind of ad is that?

The Sky Bus.

Inside the Sky Bus... ! A television! Sadly, it was not on for the whole journey...

Hrm, lots of green on the way to KL Sentral...

The trip to KL Sentral using the bus took roughly 1 hour. After that, we took two cabs to Chinatown, Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur, the place where our hotel is located. What's the hotel called? The hotel we stayed in for 3 days and 3 nights was D'Oriental.

Small place, but its a budget hotel. Not much we can do about that. XP

Sorry for the blurriness, my phone can't take dim lighted areas very well. My room was on the left.

The room I stayed in was room 103. Here's the door from inside the room.

Bathroom sink.

Shower. The toilet is to the left of the shower, blocked by the door. XP

A "king sized" bed. Right, it is practically queen size to me. =/

One corner of the room which I took for this night. =D

After we left our luggage in the rooms and rested for a good while, we went to Midvalley at roughly 8pm for our late dinner, since we haven't eaten for quite sometime the whole day. We used the KTM to go to Midvalley, which seems the only train that goes that way. Of course, before that, we had to take the LRT from Pasar Seni to KL Sentral and then and only then can we use the KTM. =/

We reached Midvalley rather late, roughly 8.30pm. Shopping and looking around was totally out of the question. While there, we met up with 2 more friends(don't know them yet at this point) right in front of XL-Shop. After that, we went to Carl's Jr. to have some expensive yet gigantic burgers. I basically drank two medium sized cups worth of beverage that night. XD

That's a lot of fries...

By the time we were done, the shops already started to close. Sadly, we had to go back already at that time and reached the hotel around 10.30pm. The 2 friends we met up there tagged along to stay in the same hotel room as mine. The best part, one of them brought a Nintendo Wii... though time didn't allow us much more than to play Mario Kart Double Dash which was quite fun even though I lost every time because that was the first time I ever played it. =P

SwatWolf's laptop next to the small television we used for 4-way Mario Karting. XD

We played only for a bit, so I didn't really get to familiarize myself that well with the game. Ah well, it was fun. =)

I slept rather late that first night, at around 2am. Worst part was that I have to wake up by 6am the next day... so that we can reach the Multimedia University in time tomorrow morning...

To be continued. The good stuff will be posted next!
