This is a horribly belated review. I blame my sudden urge of gaming busier real life. Nonetheless, I don’t want to skip this out just because of timing problems. It may not bring upon a plausible purchase consideration as the product has been discontinued (but there might be some local shops having this in stock or there might be a reissue in the future though). This will be a rather long review (not as long as another RD figure though, since posing this guys was rather troublesome) but I’m typing this with some time constraints so I won’t be editing the omake just yet.

Not really a preview when these are all the shots I'll be using to make the extremely late review of the figure once I have enough time to sit down to type it up proper. In a way, the review can't really do much in terms of a purchase consideration as it has been discontinued. There's always a chance for it to be re-released sometime in the future or some hobby shop luckily have it in stock.

PS: I'll be off for Gawai next week. Those who are celebrating Gawai too, Selamat Ari Gawai!

Quick Omake (Via FB): Strike Freedom VS Destiny

Do not take the images as your own, I've seen some of my stuff taken without a word of mention of where it came from, especially since these aren't watermarked. I won't attack you or anything but be moralistic about other people's efforts.

Note: HG Destiny is from TT Hongli which I got two years back now. Wasn't easy posing something that literally falls apart off every time I adjust the arms and wings. I can say the same to the RD SF too as well... I'll tell you the weaknesses in detail soon enough but I can expect you guys to guess the logical weakness it has.

This is just a quick simple omake I did for the long overdue review of the Robot Damashii Strike Freedom Gundam I got last year. I heavily blame the lack of reviews for my final gets of 2010 figures due to time loss to my re-inspired will to game once more (as well as getting a busier role in real life). I can elaborate on that here but I think a previous post on my secondary blog explains it well enough.

As the review is late, it is a gun-sure thing I'll make them so long and as detailed as possible when I can, I hope I'll be at least. It is the least I can do due to the lack of attention I've been giving them lately. ^^;

Until the actual review with the proper graphical edits. :P

Okay, I seriously needs to focus my attention to my finals next week, wish me luck guys!

Robot Damashii Gundam Avalanche Exia! :O

WTF?! RD decides to make an Avalanche Exia?! O.O Considering how great the normal RD Exia was from my own review, I'm looking forward to this, unless they decide to make the Dash parts too (and I hope they won't be limited like the Repair versions). :S

Right now I can say it is merely an attempt since the dead line for the tribute book is really creeping up closer as I started doing this very late. Just 5 more days before the 31st bust with my semester break still going on, I may be able to do it finish quite "fast" (it will still take hours though). Okay... FIGHT-OH!

Robot Damashii Gundam Exia Review - Part 1

Now, time for more Exia! If you are a FB regular, you might already guessed that this review is next up but anyways, here's the review.

I bought this for RM90 at Hobby Kingdom (Star City, KK, Sabah) and it was the very last box. Never thought I could get one but luckily I was. A big thanks to Evaritus Lau, once again, for this opportunity. :X
This is my 13th Gundam Exia and, well, that's quite a lot and I'm still missing the HG 1/144 GN-Arms Type E, NG 1/100 Gundam Avalanche Exia, MG 1/100 Gundam Exia (Normal), MG 1/100 Gundam Exia Trans-AM (only if I can get that 80% discount...)... yeah. Not really going to gun to get them all but just those I come across. Not crazy enough to go all out. XP

Gundam Exia, one of the most shown Gundam on this blog needs no introduction anymore. It is piloted by Setsuna F. Seiei and it comes with seven swords. One of the most extreme sword motive Gundam to date, if I'm not mistaken.

This first part covers the box, box open, articulation and gimmicks. Action poses and the conclusion will be covered in the next part. Most of the photos were taken in a room at the Promenade Hotel Apartment before my camera was sent off. So, you can see the annoying black spot at the following photos. ^^; That also explains the lack of comparison shots minus the mint bottle which I bought while I was there.

Robot Damashii 00 Qan[T] Review

Although not as complete as I would like it to be, I feel it is quite done, done so I shall end it here.

Main part of the review. This was taken with a Samsung Champ(ion) phone camera @ 1.3MP. Might be shocking to some that the quality is quite up there for even a budget phone. Then again, that's most likely due to the great amount of sunlight the I was getting during the photoshoot.

Taken with my current camera, however, I realized I really need to send it to Canon for servicing now as the black spots are really obvious. I'm quite sorry about that though but I hope you'll enjoy the final part of the review.

For those curious at how bad my camera is in now... well...
The blue screen test. Open a completely blue picture on your computer monitor and take a picture with maximum zoom. To my not to happy further realization, it was worse that I initially thought. My camera shall be MIA for a while and I hope I can send it for servicing under warranty successfully.
FYI, the black spot has been around for a while already but most of the time it is either noticeable or seemingly disappear after a while. This time, that isn't the case. Ah well, wish me luck guys, I'll try to do it tomorrow, or rather, later today.

Robot Damashii Unicorn Gundam [Destroy Mode] Review

(A good price comparison for this is the MG Wing Gundam Ver. Ka which costs just as much.)

Wow, talk about sudden purchases! After hearing about the greatness that Robot Damashii (RD) provides, especially in playability, I couldn't resist getting one. With the more choices now available at Momotoys, I was able to get certain RD figures. Actually, if you're in Kuching and looking for figures, go there as the stocks are starting to overflow (2nd Floor, The Spring)!

New stocks came in this Monday and I got the RD Unicorn Gundam [Destroy Mode] after lots of thought and staring at it for two days.

Okay, onto the review~
Caution: I couldn't do much close-ups or really detailed shots for it unfortunately as my camera really didn't want to close in as much as I wanted due to its *COUGHS*15cm macro*COUGHS* and its starting to act a bit more fussy... might be due to age and usage. I better don't get the HGUC Loto... it'll sure be hard to photoshoot that one... hopefully I'll be able to get a new camera by May. ^^;

EDIT (16/03/10): Added an additional note about the material of the figure. For those who have read before, I'm just saying that the figure isn't 100% made of the rubber composite material. Just saying since I felt that I might have or will mislead some of you. ^^;

Special Note: I'm just calling it a 'rubber composite material' since it 'feels' like it is made of rubber to me. According to further analysis, the softer and more flexible parts seem to be made of PVC or soft plastic. Sorry for not being accurate on this since this is my first 'action figure' in a while. Then again, I don't think I read up on what 'toys' are made up off. Always think they are made of plastic and whatnot. XP

This Month's (?) Loot - March 2010

Well, I'm still pretty free this week so I might as well have some fun before the storm brews in next week when everything will go into second gear and above. ^^;

Like I said yesterday (or more accurately this "morning"), new stocks has arrived at the local hobby shop - Momotoys. Can't buy yet yesterday but it is possible today after the prices are set and price tags are put on. =)

I also already said what I'll buy and thus, I bought...

HGUC "Mr. Hardon" ReZEL and Robot Damashii Unicorn Gundam [Destroy Mode]!

The RD was an impulse buy though. I, at first, thought I won't buy the RD Unicorn due to the red parts not being clear. However, after a good long stare and looking through the various other RDs available, it was calling out to me to purchase it. Finally, after lots of thought, consideration and knowing that my wallet is ready, I bought it. It isn't as cheap as buying the HGUC for one thing but it doesn't cost as much as the MG either. It follows the current Yen rate so I can't complain much.

EDIT: The RD Unicorn Destroy is my first RD and I bought it since I wanted to experience a RD for myself as well as for those infamous gatling guns...

Okay, that's all for now. Still photoshooting the RD Unicorn Destroy and thinking of building "Mr. Hardon" tomorrow (shouldn't take long to build, I barely see much need to panel line). =D
