GG LL-Drago (Lightning L-Drago) & GG RLeone (Rock Leone) Beyblade Review

RM14.90* EACH.
*Normal shop price, you might be able to find it cheaper though.
Unprecedented! A BEYBLADE review, here?! I wonder how many of you expected me to one day review such a thing? XD

~deaita~
On a fine Sunday afternoon, we went to Wisma Hopoh in search of Xbox 360 games as my plan to burn the ISOs myself didn't went smoothly (plus DL discs are almost priced the same as the pirated game discs anyways). We managed to get some, well a lot of games. I can't tell you how many genre of games was in the plastic bag that day and how empty my wallet was after that. (My sister picked most of the games and no, they are not something lame.)

After all that wallet burning, we went to the only viable restaurant there, KFC. Before I reached KFC, I spotted many TT Hongli Gunpla (all priced as usual and barely any good choices) and then... bootleg Metal Fight Beyblade Beyblades! I was like, totally surprised! Er, not that surprised actually. The price wasn't that good but considering how much I wanted them as well as some support from my sister, we bought em'. *wallet burns*

I did ever see some originals at a normal toy shop before but they were too pricey to buy normally. I mean, RM59.90 isn't cheap for something so small though it was a full set. Then again, this bootleg version isn't all that cheap anyways.
~deaita end~

Okay, enough boring story. Time for the review!

Those who do not know the existence of the latest Beyblade anime Metal Fight Beyblade may want to read up Wikipedia for a bit or, if your internet permits, watch on Youtube.

EDIT1: L-Drago is actually LL-Drago (Lightning L-Drago, L for Left). Sorry about that. ^^;
EDIT2: This Leone is actually the Rock Leone and not the normal Leone. Sorry about that. I'll just refer to it as Leone though.

Next Up... 3 2 1... GO SHOOT!

If I have enough time tomorrow (or sometime this week), expect a review on some "spinning tops" that I have stumbled upon yesterday. They aren't original either so it will make an interesting review since I'm quite surprised with the overall quality and VERY surprised at their... TBC.

Unexpected MG! MG 00 Qan[T] in November 2010!!!

OMG! I'm totally stoked and very, very happy that I haven't bought the HG 00 Qan[T] due to Momotoys being temporarily closed to change of location to One Jaya.

Priced at 4500 Yen, it seems reasonable enough. It also features the other non-available gimmicks on the HG such as the hidden handles on the GN Sword Bits and the ability to hold the GN Sword V a little more closer to the line-art. Sweet! Time to make sure I have 4500 Yen available by November... if it releases early and available when I'm in S'pore, you know what I'll bring back from AFA 2010. Ahah.

I'll probably still get the HG 00 Qan[T] for the ability to equip the GN Sword IV later on though while the other three may be delayed to the unknown future due to;
Raphael, however, does not have any additional equip ad far as I know. Those who have watched the movie would know why it doesn't. ^^; Then again, I never did like Tieria's Gundams as much as the rest so belated purchase, like all his suits, as well. I bought both the HG Virtue and HG Seravee much later once I found them at lowered/discounted prices. Then again, I bought the HG Nadleeh and HG Seraphim fairly early...

YES! HGAW Gundam X Divider! So, where's my HGFC Master/Shining/Rising? January?

So gonna get this since Jamil Neate actually fought his fear to ride a MS to ride it... and he kicked major arse. December release at 1800 Yen.

All images and news source from your friendly neighborhood NgeeKhiong.

Okay, that's all for now. Gonna be busy for the rest of this week.

Those in Kuching may want to visit Swinburne this Saturday (25/09/10) in the afternoon (11AM-5PM to be precise) to experience the one day Swinburne Carnival. THERE IS GONNA BE A TEKKEN 6 MATCH also. Entry is OPEN to ALL. Make sure you register by this Friday latest if you intend to join in. :)

EDIT - On a Note:

Looks like the NG 1/100 line will be displaced by the MG 1/100 line since the MG 00 Qan[T] is getting released quite soon, in fact too soon. With that said, will we be expecting more MG releases such as the other Gundams - Zabanya, Harute and Raphael real soon? However, I will miss the NG 1/100 line since they cost a bit cheaper compared to eventual MG 1/100 releases as long as they stop selling em' with those LEDs that I won't be lighting up more than once!

Bandai's molding technology has gone way up recently and it should not be a problem for them to actually output more MG kits at a time. The only problem would be the ability of customers to buy them... then again, the release schedule of one new MG per month is pretty okay thus far except when variations come into play and we get multiple MGs per month as recent releases have taught us.

So, does that mean that we will get a RG 1/100 one day? Considering that NG 1/100s will cease to exist at this rate... I mean, they don't sell FGs any more now, do they? And I don't think Bandai likes how "well" those VS Astrays left those shelves... Darn should've bought more!

Life, Gaming, Hacking, Pokemon!

I know I've been pretty idle lately and that's because I'm preoccupied with other stuff besides Gunpla. ^^;
My Seravee looks pretty angsty now since an appearance of a certain Gundam is made certain of in the 00 Movie.

Pokemon Black & White just came out last Saturday (18/09/2010) and I've been playing it, though slowly, ever since then. It is quite fun and most of the Pokemon you can catch, basic forms, are actually very cute. I've already past the second gym and going to a forest area which I forgot to read the name of. FYI, I'm playing White while my sister is playing Black. We're both about the same place except that I'm a bit ahead since I'm doing the reading (good thing I studies Katakana and Hiragana). X3
BTW, I find the male lead this time to be quite more likeable in design especially when I compare him to the RS and DPP male leads. I didn't like their hats. >_> Caps FTW!

Other than that... I've finally got a current generation console which is the infamous Xbox 360. After a lot of thinking and considerations, I bought it. Took me a while to find a shop selling the old white one at a reasonable price considering I only got an Arcade version (no HDD). So far, I've been mostly playing BlazBlue Continuum Shift. Let's see if I can Jack of All Trades the whole character list... but I, right now, want to master Ragna the Bloodedge since I find him pretty nice to use. ^^

Other than that, I've been "hacking" one of the campus's computers, sort of. Ever since the second week of this semester, the computers had a software upgrade in which that you can book the computer so that it will be available to use at your designated times, maximum 2 hour usage per student (extend-able if no one else needs it) and you can only access it from 8AM onwards... Because I reach the campus around 7.15AM in the morning, I really want to use the computer even though my netbook does suffice. But, hey, those 22" screens are really nice to use so why not I... use a Linux, Ubuntu 10.10 Beta, Live CD to turn it on earlier? No harm, right (arguable)?
I wonder what will happen if I try to install it... I know what to do but I really should do that as it will cause lotsa problems later... though I always thought of doing it. <.<

That's all for now. What are the rest of you doing, well, besides Gunpla and work/school?

Early Impressions on Pokemon Black & White

Just “got” the Pokemon Black & White today and had some fun with it ever since. I know I should’ve done something more important but my mood really wasn’t into that. Hope I won’t be doomed on Monday. XP Anyways, onwards with the photospam and commentaries!

To tell you the truth, I played the White version on my DS while the Black version just for this impression post. I’m not gonna really play Black for the time being as I’ll most likely play it when the English versions of the games are released next year. Heh.

Read on at my WP blog.

Gundam 00 Movie is TODAY!

OMG OMG OMG! Too bad I can't see it! WAAAA~! TAT

Anyways, read on for some spoilerific stuff I found. READ. AT. YOUR. OWN. RISK.

Spark Gundam Main Suit Colors

My Deviantart page HERE.

Just did this just now and I tried something different to add more "texture" to the coloring. I admit it is very messy since I just scribbled some light black and white all over the body but it makes it less plain than usual. XP

I might update this one (make it less messier) in the not so near future when I have more free time though.
Hope you like the sketch/scribble though. :O

We all use computers, right? So, did you all read about the recent hype that is going about AMD?

HG 1/144 Gundam Avalanche Exia' (Dash) Review - Part 2

This is a continuation of the first part here!

First and foremost, I like to wish everyone a Selamat Hari Raya! Hope you will all enjoy your day today visiting friends and family's houses or just plain enjoying the public holiday.

At any rate, here's the second part of this review! FYI, there's no omake but there are 90 images in this post. There might be an omake later on since I have a slight idea on what I can parody though it might be a little exhausted already... or not (not AHEAD inspired).

HG 1/144 Gundam Avalanche Exia' (Dash) Review - Part 1

Price: 2000 Yen
It has been more than a week since the last actual post and I'm much better now. I still need to recover my body somewhat due to some side-effects from the initial fever (which was a high fever) at the beginning of last week. ^^;

MS Brief
The Gundam Avalanche Exia is an alternate configuration of the same Gundam Exia you see in the Gundam 00 anime season 1. The purpose of this add-on is to increase Exia's boosting speed and flight since it doesn't have the proper propulsion configuration in the first place (or something like that). Anyways, this add-on is pretty much null and void once the Exia was upgraded to the R2 spec whereby it gains thrusters practically everywhere. This configuration needs about an hour (not sure if I remember this part correctly) to charge the condensers before use and it can only last for 10 minutes before it needs to recharge again.
However, the Dash or ' add-on add-on gives it even more boosters, claws and a way to fight Arche Gundam "toe-to-toe".

MS Specs
Pilot: Setsuna F. Seiei
GN-001/hs-A01D
Height: 18.3m
Weight: 65.9t
Armaments: GN Sword/Rifle, GN Long Blade, GN Short Blade, GN Beam Saber (2), GN Beam Dagger (2), GN Vulcan (2), GN Claw (2)

Sudden Hiatus

Not gonna post anything worthwhile on my blogs for a while, well since the beginning of this week, due to sickness. Even though I can go about now I still need my rest. I'll still post comments to the blogs in the blogroll once in a while though so I won't totally be "gone". I still need to browse the net, though in shorter amounts of time, from time to time to not make me so bored after all.

Sorry guys and I hope I can get better soon. ^^;

FYI, Momotoys will be moving to One Jaya this month.
